حصلت شركة غوغل على براءة اختراع جديدة هي عبارة عن تصميم جديد لقائمة دائرية الشكل مُخصصة للأجهزة المزودة بشاشات لمسية، كما كشف تقرير إخباري عزم الشركة الأميركية إطلاق نسخة مخصصة للأطفال دون سن العاشرة من موقع مشاركة الفيديو التابع لها "يوتيوب".
وبحسب براءة الاختراع التي ظهرت حديثاً على موقع مكتب براءات الاختراع والعلامات المُسجلة الأميركي، فإن غوغل ابتكرت قائمة دائرية الشكل مؤلفة من أقسام يمكن توسعتها إلى أقسام فرعية لتُعطي مجالات واسعة للمُستخدم لاختيار تشغيل التطبيقات والخيارات المطلوبة.
وتتطلب القائمة لتفعيلها استخدام إصبعين في الوقت ذاته، حيث يتم تثبيت الإصبع الأول على منطقة يختارها المستخدم من الشاشة، ثم النقر على منطقة أُخرى، وتكون المسافة بين الإصبعين عبارة عن نصف قطر القائمة والتي تكون جزءا من الدائرة مقسَّما بدوره إلى عدة أقسام.
ويختار المُستخدم أحد أقسام القائمة بإصبعه الثاني، مع تثبيت الأول في مركز القائمة، لتظهر لديه أقسام فرعية، يستطيع الاختيار منها لتشغيل تطبيق، أو تفعيل وظيفة مُعينة. ويرجح أن تكون غوغل صممت هذه القائمة لاستخدامها في نظام تشغيل الأجهزة الذكية التابع لها "أندرويد".
من جانب آخر، نقل موقع "ذي إنفورميشن" الإلكتروني عن عدة مصادر أن الشركة تعمل حاليا على تطوير نسخة مخصصة للأطفال دون سن العاشرة من موقع "يوتيوب"، وأنها بدأت بجذب منتجي الفيديو الراغبين بإنشاء محتوى موجه للأطفال.
ويُعتقد أن الهدف من هذه الخطوة هو الاستحواذ على ثقة أولياء الأمور الذين ينتظرون من "يوتيوب" أن يوفر لأطفالهم محتوى خاليا من المشاهد والتعليقات التي لا تناسب سنهم، على الرغم من أن الموقع يقدم حاليا لمستخدميه وضع "الأمان" الذي عند تفعيله يخفي الفيديو ذو المحتوى غير المناسب، كما يوفر الموقع نسخة خاصة بالتعليم تضم عددا من مقاطع الفيديو التعليمية.
